Projects Overview
Splitsville
A 26,000 sq. ft. entertainment complex featuring 20 bowling lanes, a centrally located bar and restaurant, as well as dedicated billiards and arcade areas.
This project required a significant amount of heavy-gauge framing to effectively separate the restaurant and bar from the bowling lanes, while preserving visibility through extensive glazed partition systems. A standout feature of the space was the “building within a building” concept, housing the shoe rental and prize redemption area, which was visually defined by suspended acoustic blade ceilings.
The project also presented significant scheduling challenges due to delays associated with extensive underground work. Rycraft successfully mitigated delays through extended workdays, weekend shifts, and continuous work throughout the Christmas holiday shutdown.

Aqua-Tots
This 10,000 sq. ft. project involved integrating a swimming pool within a large retail mall environment.
A key architectural feature was the curved bulkhead, designed to emulate the form of a pool wave. Achieving this vision required highly precise framing to maintain a consistent radius along the 17-foot-high, 200-foot-long structure.
Given the high-humidity environment, HVAC performance was critical. From a drywall perspective, the installation of bulkheads, insulation, taping, and joint sealants demanded meticulous attention to detail to ensure a complete and effective envelope around the pool area, allowing the HVAC system to operate as designed.

TD Westgate
From a new space, Rycraft was responsible for all interior fit–up construction. Fit up requirements included security features, all drywall and architectural details including a floating cloud feature ceiling, and drywall finished to level 5 to receive wall coverings. Fry Reget trims were used to terminate vinyl wall covering which require extensive finishing experience.

Vanier Animal Hospital
A 3,450 sq. ft. new-build veterinary clinic was constructed, incorporating dedicated living accommodations for on-call veterinarians.
At Rycraft, new construction is a core strength—spanning from initial site work through to final interior finishes. For this project, our scope included wood framing for the primary building structure, with integrated steel stud framing for the stairwell’s tall walls and non-combustible exterior wall assemblies.
Following completion of the structural phase, Rycraft transitioned seamlessly into insulation, air barrier systems, drywall installation, and full interior finishing. Our ability to execute both wood and steel framing and interior fit up, positioned Rycraft as a uniquely qualified subcontractor for this project.

LensCrafters
Rycraft was responsible for the complete fit-up construction of a new pilot store. As this was a first-of-its-kind concept, architectural details continued to evolve throughout the project, including into the final week before opening.
Through a strong commitment to quality workmanship, along with extended hours and weekend work, our team enabled LensCrafters to meet its grand opening deadline while delivering a high-end finish consistent with the LensCrafters brand expectations for a pilot location.

A&W Bank Street
A complete fit-up of a new space delivered on schedule despite a delayed start caused by site work setbacks. Through extended hours, weekend work, and a commitment to zero deficiencies, the store opened on time.
